I wanted to share with you 3 keys to having the freedom and profit you started your business for in the first place.
If you are like most of the folks I speak with then you started your business because you wanted freedom, flexibility and probably a bit of fun, and you didn’t want to have a regular “JOB” but things are still a bit of a struggle. Instead of your business serving you, you are serving your business, and sometimes you feel like a slave to your business.
You’d like to grow and expand your business but the thought of working more hours feels like a death sentence; it is so soul-sucking because you are doing things in the business you don’t want to be doing and let’s face it, you are not really good at. You don’t have a solid plan to get from point a to point b, and you are flying by the seat of your pants, throwing spaghetti at the wall to see what works.
So here are the 3 keys!
1 – Have a plan – seriously, if you don’t have a plan on how you are going to achieve what it is you want to achieve, you don’t have a very good chance on actually getting there.
That means you not only want to know what you need to do to reach your goals, you actually need to break it down and put it on the calendar too! Check out my FREE plan of action cheatsheet here if you need some help with that.
I like to keep things simple so having a plan for the next 30-90 days is all you really need, once you have the 9 elements of your plan to action (hint: get them in the free worksheet if you’re not sure what they are) you can adjust as necessary.

2 – Track your metrics – if you don’t know your business’s finances you cannot catch money leaks, see how you are doing or see where things are working, or where they are not working.
Basically, if you don’t know your numbers you are guessing, you are gambling, and gambling is NOT what you want to be doing in your small business because is never good in business.
There are a few key numbers that you MUST need to know so that you know where you are going. Numbers ground you to know where you are and where you want to go.
Expenses for being in business, to maintain your current lifestyle, how much do you need to make?
What are your desires? They should be grounded in reality, do your research, what will it take to actually build the life and business you want? This will tell you exactly how many clients you need to work with to make that happen?
How many clients you need to make your numbers, or how many programs/products you need to sell.

Systems = Freedom

This whole business owner thing is not for the faint of heart, there is a reason why most businesses fail!
While the road to burnout doesn’t look the same for everyone on it there are some similarities you typically experience on this path!
- You’re always in the weeds of your business
- You don’t have efficient systems and processes (or maybe none at all)
- You aren’t delegating effectively
- You can’t take time off
- You’re trying to do too many things at once + wearing all the hats
It’s exhausting just thinking about it! But there’s a way off the hamster wheel!
If you’re overwhelmed, overworked, stressed out, and worried that if you take time off the bottom will fall out from beneath you and your business will fall apart.
Then, you are in the right place my friend, been there, done that, got the tee-shirt and I’d love to support you in ending the cycle!
