Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and whether you celebrate or not, it just feels like love is in the air, can you feel it?
It seems like its super strong over here, but that could be because I have been separated from my love, John for the past 6 weeks as he headed back to NY to secure us a place and stayed back here in Dallas so the kiddos could have some sort of normal and go to school. And this is the week I have been waiting for since we made the decision those 6 weeks ago to take a stand and head back to our home state, NY.
The truth is my heart has always been in NY, I am a true New Yorker at heart and after 3+ years in Dallas, I am ready to head back home. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t regret the decision to leave NY in the first place, it was exactly what we needed to do those 3 years ago and now its time to head back home and settle in, a stronger, wiser, more evolved person, with a firm footing and solid foundation in myself, kiddos and hubby and I could not be more thrilled.
There are have been some bumps along the way and it hasn’t all been easy as I shared in yesterday’s video, and the cool thing is that even with these bumps, actually probably because of these bumps in the road on our journey back home, I was able to see just how much I truly have grown and evolved and our relationship has grown and evolved and just how damn transformed our life has become in the process, the process of becoming who we now are, of becoming us.
It’s pretty damn cool to be able to witness yourself and your growth and see the old patterns washing away and just how different you are, yet the same, and just how much you have allowed yourself to be yourself in the process.
It wasn’t an easy decision to come to Dallas in the first place and it sure has hell was not an easy decision to decide to go back, truth is, financially, emotionally, distance wise, its actually a hell of a lot easier to stay where I am, but I know that is not who I am.
My heart is in NY, I am true New Yorker at heart and even though it was necessary at the time, a part of me was left behind when we moved here, and its time for me to reclaim it. Once I realized and knew this, there was no changing it, and I have grown and evolved so much over these past 3 years that I don’t even recognize any part of my life as it was. I am different, my relationships are different, my business is different, my life is different.
All of that was made possible by me giving myself permission to be me, to trust myself, to know myself, to believe in myself and to have an unwavering faith that what I want, wants me too and that I really can have it all on my own terms.
For me, this journey started many years ago, and along that journey I discovered lots of cool tools to help me get in touch with myself, my true self, my authentic self, my God self, my all knowing self. And let me tell you, that was no easy task, I was the kind of person that used to say, yea, I believe in God, just in case he’s real, so this woo, woo shit, yea, it was kind of woo woo shit if you know what I mean.
Talk about a analytical, logical thinker, I have a BS degree in Math and in Computer Science for crying out loud, not to mention kind of being a control freak but the truth is,I learned how to merge these parts of myself together, not so much merge them as it was to learn to allow them to complement each other and the results, well, the results speak for themselves. Everything is changed, nothing is the same, I know myself like never before and because of that, I trust myself, and because of that, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I can create anything my heart desires.
