3 Simple Strategies to Spend More Time Doing What you Love

I have talked with hundreds of business owners over the years and I have found a common thread among them when it comes to not being able to spend as much time doing what they love in their business. Many business owners start a business because they are passionate or really good at something and want to share that with the world.

As you start to build your business and get caught up in the day-to-day of running your business it can sometimes consume you and you can end up resenting your business instead of loving it.

If you want to get the passion back in your business and spend more time doing what you love there are 3 key strategies you can implement right away.

1 – Create a system for everything that you do in your business. Systems = Freedom in business and Systems = Money in business. If you are doing something in your business more than one time then you need to create a system in order to get it done, it allows you to not think about what needs to be done, how it needs to be done and it allows you to delegate all or part of it to someone else. 🙂 Super simple.

2 – Document what you do.  If you want to have a smoothly and efficiently run business then you need to document what it is that you are doing. You need to have standard operating procedures (SOP’s) in order to run your business. It does not matter if you are a one-man/woman business or you have 50 people on your team, you need to document the system, this may be work upfront, however, once you document what you are doing you no longer need to think about, it goes hand and hand with creating systems in your business.

3 –  Get some professional help. I get it, when you first start your business you might not have the same budget as an established business, however, if you truly want to grow your business you can’t do it all on your own. Once you have documented the process of what needs to be done you can hand off the task to someone else, like a virtual assistant or personal assistant, or whomever.

Implementing these three strategies in your business will free up oodles of time in your day, allowing you to open up your schedule for the things you truly enjoy in your business rather than the tasks that need to get done in order to run a successful business.
